How to Watch Netflix Movies on HD TV via WD TV in Australia?
The WD TV plays back pretty much any file format you can throw at it, including MKV video. At the beginning, its streaming video support is subpar, lacking Netflix, but the 2014 version and the later has updated to be available to customers. But the area is limited. NetFlix is only available to customers in the U.S.A., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, etc. Unfortunately, if you live in Australian, you won’t make it sign into Netflix Australia in that Australian Netflix can’t be available in WD TV.
if you purchased the new 2014 WDTV Media Player, then you’re outta luck, it doesn’t have Netflix. if you have the older WDTV Live Streaming Media Player, then you’ll probably have to wait for a Firmware Upgrade. If you want Netflix now in Australia, what only you can do is to try Chromecast to cast Netflix through your tablet or smartphone. If you don’t have a Chromecast, well, the last way is to download the Netflix movies and convert it to your TV supported format then stream it on TV via USB port.
It sounds a little complex. So this is only suitable for those who have some Netflix movie downloads and want to watch them via WD TV. If you are a Netflix fan in Australia, WD TV seems not a good choice for you.
